Zakład Konstrukcji Spawanych has its own non-destructive testing Laboratory. It has 20 employees, 17 of whom are directly involved in testing activities. The inspectors are certified on 2nd or 3rd Level in accordance with ISO 9712 and/or SNT-TC-1A Ed. 2016 in following methodes: VT, MT, PT, RT and UT (including PA and TOFD).

The Laboratory’s competence is confirmed by the Office of Technical Inspection and the Polish Centre for Accreditation. The laboratory meets the requirements of WUDT-LAB edition 1/2019 and the standards PN-EN ISO 17025:2018-02 and possesses:

  • Certificate no. LBU-011/09 issued by UDT for following scope:

Nondestructive Testing Laboratory is a real member of Polish Testing Laboratories Club POLLAB registered under number 1088.

The Nondestructive Testing Laboratory is part of the Quality Control Department at ZKS Ferrum S.A. The Quality Control Department, beside scope covered by UDT certification or PCA accreditation, provides following services and tests:

– Hardness tests using Proceq portable hardness testers;

– Testing of chemical composition with the use of XRF analyzer (spectrometer) Olympus;

– 3D scanning using precision 3D scanners by Faro;

– Precision measurements using Laser Tracker or Measurement Arm by Leica and Romer (Hexagon);

– Measurement of operating mills and dryers, using high speed lasers and ultrasonic sensors;

– Measurement and tracing of objects using hand tools, levels, theodolites and total stations

– Measurement and inspection before, during and after corrosion protection;
